YPPT is taking a break to evolve and change into something new. Stay tuned 🙂
While those April showers work their magic (“It’s nice for the plants. It’s nice for the plants”…my brain on repeat as I walk through the chilly rain), you may still be getting into summer dinner party mode; the kind that go way into the night with long, lazy conversations and drinks outside. So until the weather is more accommodating, let’s focus on making inside dinners as special as possible. Cue: Table setting guidelines! Table setting may sound boring, but stay with me! With just a bit of knowledge and effort, you can easily bring a great sense of occasion to any party. I hope you’re hungry 🙂 3 courses of table setting knowledge are served:
Amsterdam: a city of canals, bicycles, and (my favorite!) beautiful, interior design that makes me want to splash white paint all over my floor (#rentergonewild #justjokinglandlord).
Last week, I had the great pleasure of staying in an Airbnb located in the heart of Amsterdam; the neighbourhood Oud-West. Bursting with character, charm, and a super-comfy bed, I thoroughly recommend staying here if you are visiting Amsterdam (Btw: This post is in no way sponsored. I just really loved the flat and wanted to share. Thanks again to the lovely Lisa for letting me share these pictures with you!).
Let’s take a peek inside!
Although April has just started, spring seems to have fully arrived in Vienna! The sun is shining most days and temperatures are getting warmer daily 🙂 Season changes usually inspire me to do a little switch up in my home decor. For spring, I like to add pops of color, bold pattern, and floral designs to make my space feel cheery, bright, and fresh!
- Rug. Anthropologie. €649
- Slipper Chair. Target. $152.99
- Headboard. Urban Outfitters. $329

Perhaps you’d like to spruce up your space, but in a less expensive/concrete way…I suggest thinking outside the home department and considering scarves. Don’t pack them away for next winter just yet! Scarves have many uses in home decor and can certainly add a pop of color or pattern without breaking the bank. They are also easily switched out when the mood strikes and therefore the perfect material for a spontaneous refresh. Check out this post with several scarf diys including a faux-reupholstery and instant headboard!
I hope this post put a little spring in your step xo, claire
